You don't have to
work this out alone.
Speak with Dr. Prerna Kohli — a clinical psychologist with over 30 years helping individuals, couples and families through anxiety, relationships and the weight of building a life across cultures and borders.
Counselling for Indians living abroad.
A large part of the practice is Indians who've built a life overseas — carrying the distance, the family back home, and pressures the people around them don't fully understand.
- A therapist who already knows the context — you won't have to explain “log kya kahenge”.
- Sessions scheduled around your timezone — early-morning and late-evening IST slots.
- Couples across borders, when one of you is in India and one abroad.
- Private, secure video — from the US, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia and beyond.

Is this you?
Most people don't need a diagnosis to know something's off. They just want to be understood quickly.
What would you like help with?
Whatever brought you here, you can begin with a single conversation.
Anxiety & stress
Constant worry, overthinking, a racing mind, or that tightness that won't ease up.

Feeling flat, exhausted, or empty even when things look fine from the outside.

Choose 60 minMore room for couples, families, or a thorough first session.
Choose 75 minThe things people usually ask
Can we do this online?
Yes. Sessions run over secure video from anywhere in the world, scheduled around your timezone — early-morning and late-evening IST slots included.
Will I be judged?
No. Sessions are private and without judgement. Nothing you share leaves the room, and there's no “right” way to start.
Can my partner join?
Yes — couples and family sessions are welcome, whether you attend together or from two different places.
I'm abroad — does that work?
A large part of the practice is Indians living overseas. The cultural context is already understood, so you don't have to explain it from scratch.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies. The first session is about understanding what's going on and agreeing what would actually help — there's no fixed package to commit to.
Will I be put on medication?
Dr. Kohli is a psychologist, not a psychiatrist, and does not prescribe. The work is talk-based, and any referral is only ever made with your agreement.
What clients say
“As an Indian professional in the US, I'd struggled to find a therapist who understood the cultural expectations and family dynamics NRIs face. Dr. Kohli understood that context immediately. Despite the time difference, scheduling was seamless and every session felt genuinely relevant to my life.”
Arjun M. · New Jersey, USA · online counselling
“We came to Dr. Kohli when communication had almost completely broken down. She created a space where both of us felt heard, helped us see the patterns we were stuck in, and helped us reconnect in ways we hadn't thought possible. One of the best investments we've made in our future together.”
Rhea M. · couples counselling
“Anxiety had begun affecting my sleep, work, relationships and confidence. From the first session I felt understood rather than judged. She gave me practical tools to manage anxious thoughts and regain a sense of control — one of the best decisions I've made for my wellbeing.”

The hardest part is starting.
Seeking help earlier tends to make things easier, not harder. One conversation is enough to begin.
